Welcome to our website

Welcome to the website for the Irish Democratic League Club. We are a club based in Batley, West Yorkshire. The original Club was titled ‘The National Land League of Great Britain’.  Now, its commonly referred locally as The (Batley) Nash!  We’ve prided ourselves for years that the Club is successful and financially solvent.  All of which is due to our loyal membership, to which represents well over 1800 strong.

The Club has a unique and friendly ambience, which seems to capture the idea of been in comfort and safety.   The Bar has an extensive range of beverages to suit all tastes.  Our recent introduction of wines from around the world, have proved very popular.  The menu changes on a regular basis to keep up with trend and fashion.  The Committee work hard to make sure that prices are kept as low as possible.  This is something the Nash has always been known for ‘cheap drinking’.  This still stands today!

Like many social clubs we still provide first class entertainment, three times a week.  Saturday night, Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.  Bingo is played on Friday night.  Although over the last year the Club has enjoyed and welcomed private bookings.  This subsequently has had a knock on effect for our bingo players.  But we play when we can.  Our Thursday night Quiz is very popular.  The Club enjoys the privilege of many younger patrons, of which make a large percentage of the customers on Thursday nights.  Perhaps they come and enjoy the free supper the quiz provides.  The Club is always a welcome to new faces.

We’d like to thank our members and guests, we appreciate your custom and value your comments.  Our success is down to you!  Thank you.
